11-3- 25  Becky and I organically got on the subject of a business venture, as conversation during our run.  I am using this site as only a possibility of a business name and a potential web site for the company.  All can be changed as I am no longer supporting this particular business of supporting hotels with Technology and by no means am I promoting this as the name…but throwing it out there and thought we could use it to share our ideas…

As we discussed the problems with Windows -I was hit with utube videos all night of the distain for the company.  Either way I feel we can service windows users but the momentum towards Linux is growing by the day over the frustration of people feeling bullied and spied on which no doubt are the truths.  I believe getting the word out that they do not have to buy new equipment and be spied on would be a powerful message to get out there to the average layman who most likely only knows how to use the applications required for their jobs and web surfing.  

**Interesting fact MIcrosofts major server farms run on Linux as does this web hosting service.  As I mentioned yesterday -Its not an easy install like Windows -so we would be needed right off the bat.  The company also represents a good for the ecology as we are saving perfectly good hardware.

So I think there is a lot of potential here – once people start talking – the opportunities will be there.  The big objection which will have to be handled smoothy and confidently is people are afraid of change and those using windows for years and years some will be impossible to move

11/26/25  Had a nice conversation with Nick about the possibilities of using Linux to launch some kind of business.  Nick will do some research and we will make a plan to put Linux on an old Laptop of his.  Further discussion were about the environmental aspects of not throwing perfectly good PC’s into the earth.     – I noticed my level of enthusiasm increased when we were talking about it, and I think Nick felt the energy.
